Hello to al! So, I am here, and I never thought I can create a small store in which I handmade each product that I’m passionate about in which I can share it with all of you. The way I bumped into polymer clay jewelry making was by social media. I like what I saw and thought I can do this also. Little did I know that there is a world of polymer clay makings.
Little I knew that there is so much out there and different things I can create for jewelry making. So, I went to craft store and just bought a clay kit for jewelry making and some other items. I had no idea the different types of clay there and different texture of clay. My first clay was Supley III until later I learn this was a big no, no for jewelry making.
I try making shapes and I made small studs, I follow the instructions on the kit and baked my creations. I didn’t have a way of knowing the thickness of clay or how thin it can be. I just did it! I was excited, but nervous also looking forward in the outcoming. When I was finished, I saw my jewelry and thought I did not do something correct. The earrings I made was thin and it looked breakable if you bent it. I thought to myself I can do better, and so I did.
As you can see in the picture, they look ok but not something I wanted to push forward. It looks like a small child made it, but I guess I had to start somewhere. I was doubting myself a bit and gave myself a challenge to see how much better I can get. So, I started…I thought let me do some research on the clay making, and what I need to learn. I did my research, and my second making was not as bad as the first.
I not saying that I am a pro and yes it a little side hobby, planning make millions it is welcome, but right not I like making something beautiful and feel good that I made such creations. I always love fashion and in my college days I wanted to become a fashion editor. That dream did not happen, but this did. I love, love making something that stands out and having someone where something I made.
I am no fashion designer, or an artist, but I do have a sense of style and I can be innovated and like to view things on how it will come together at the end. Should I say a bit creative, but of course. My style can be funky, rocky, boho, a little glitter or just something settle…my style has a little bit of everything therefore I wanted to create something that is Made Just for You! I thought of my style and thought why not create something for that one person who saw a piece and thought “wow I love this and it just my style”.
Wow I did this, and I am not ashamed on who, what will people say. Part of my style was jewelry, I am a big on earring, rings, and bracelets, never a necklaces type of women. So, I create what works and where I know where things can come together.
My journey started back in Feb of 2021 and yayyy it’s been a year. Slow process, but the passion is there. So, I welcome all and say hi if you want to leave a comment. I hope you will find something Made Just For You!
